Privacy Policy

Metisine Health (“Metisine Health,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides wellness equipment and educational resources. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to our website and the related services we offer. It does not limit any rights you may have under applicable law.

Information you provide — such as your name, email, phone number, shipping and billing details, account credentials, the contents of your messages, and the details you share when you request a consultation, complete a wellness screening, sign a waiver, or place an order. If you access the client portal after purchase, we also collect your responses to the Clinical Health Intake Questionnaire — including medical history, current medications, allergies, and answers to clinical safety screening questions — for equipment safety purposes.

Information collected automatically — such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and similar usage data, gathered through cookies and similar technologies to operate, secure, and improve the site.

Payment information — card and payment details are collected and processed by our payment provider. We do not store full payment card numbers on our own systems.

Our website and service providers use cookies, local storage, session storage, and similar technologies for operations, preferences, analytics, and embedded media. The technologies and purposes include:

Necessary operations and sign-in — Our hosting, load-balancing, and security infrastructure may use cookies or similar signals to deliver pages, protect the service, and detect misuse. Clerk uses necessary authentication cookies to maintain sign-in and account sessions. Chat and interface features may use local browser storage to remember functional state and process messages you choose to send; this is not used to identify you for advertising.

Analytics (opt-in) — Google Analytics 4 (GA4) helps measure site use when analytics is enabled in your Cookie Preferences. First-party counters and UTM or landing-page attribution use the same analytics preference. If browser performance monitoring through Sentry is configured, it is also subject to the analytics preference.

Marketing and advertising — We do not currently use separate advertising pixels. This preference controls Google’s advertising-storage, advertising-data, and personalization consent separately from analytics. It is off unless you expressly enable it, and a GPC signal keeps it off.

Hosting measurement — Replit, our hosting provider, may provide cookieless hosting analytics and operational measurement. Optional Replit Project Analytics is controlled separately in Publishing settings: when enabled, the host injects a tracker outside our application code. Our Cookie Preferences do not control that platform setting. Hosting and security request logs may still be needed to operate and protect the site.

Embedded media (opt-in) — YouTube (using its privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com embed domain), Vimeo, and Publuu content may be embedded on some pages. These embeds load only when you allow optional media in Cookie Preferences. When an embed loads, its provider may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser information, and the page where it appears, and may use its own cookies or similar technologies under its privacy policy.

Forms and payments — Information you enter in forms is sent to us to respond to your request or provide the requested service. If you use a payment feature, Stripe or PayPal processes payment-related information for that transaction under its own privacy terms; the applicable provider depends on the payment option you select.

You can change optional analytics and media choices using the Cookie Preferences control in the footer. You can also manage or clear cookies and local storage through your browser settings. We store your selections in local storage with a timestamp and policy version, and ask again after twelve months or a version change. Google offers a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. We treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a request to opt out of sale, sharing, and targeted advertising where applicable. GPC does not replace your separate choices about optional analytics or direct communications.

We use your information to respond to your requests; schedule and provide wellness sessions; maintain signed waivers; screen equipment safety through the Clinical Health Intake Questionnaire; process and fulfill orders; operate, secure, and improve our services; comply with our legal obligations; and — where you have not opted out — send you marketing communications. We do not sell your personal information.

Where applicable EEA or UK data-protection law requires a legal basis, processing may be based on performing a contract (for example, fulfilling an order), consent for optional technologies or communications, our legitimate interests in operating and improving our services where those interests are not overridden, or compliance with legal obligations. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time; withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before withdrawal.

Because we provide wellness — not medical — services, Metisine Health is not a HIPAA-covered entity, and the information you share with us is not “protected health information” as defined under HIPAA. We nonetheless treat all health-related details you share with us as sensitive, apply strict access controls, and never make them publicly accessible.

After purchasing equipment, portal clients are asked to complete a Clinical Health Intake Questionnaire before accessing the client portal. This questionnaire collects contact and emergency-contact details, medical history (including current medications and allergies), responses to six clinical safety screening questions (pulmonary diagnosis, seizure history, implanted devices, pregnancy, claustrophobia, and diabetes), ear and eye health history, and lifestyle information. You authorize this collection by typing your full legal name as an electronic signature and checking a confirmation box before submitting.

This information is used to support equipment-safety screening and your wellness program. It is stored in our systems and is available to authenticated portal users viewing their own record and Metisine Health staff with administrative access. We do not provide questionnaire responses to third parties for their marketing or advertising. We do not use the responses to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. You may request a copy or deletion of your intake record by contacting us below; we may retain information where needed for legal or operational purposes.

When you sign a liability waiver, we store the signed record — including the typed signature, timestamp, and the IP address and device used — to maintain an accurate account of your acknowledgement. These records are kept private and accessed only as needed, and are retained for the period required to establish or defend legal claims.

We disclose information to service providers when needed to provide website hosting, authentication, analytics you have enabled, chat, forms, communications, embedded media, or payment processing. Those providers may process information under their own terms and privacy notices. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect people or our rights, or in connection with a business transfer. Metisine Health does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Retention periods depend on the type of information, why it was collected, how a service is used, and applicable legal or business requirements. We may retain transaction, account, waiver, and safety-screening records as needed to provide services, maintain records, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. We do not promise a fixed retention period for every record. You may ask about or request deletion of information by contacting us; some information may need to be retained where permitted or required by law.

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on your U.S. state and applicable law, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information; to receive a portable copy; and to opt out of sale or sharing of personal information or its use for targeted advertising. Some states also provide a right to appeal a decision on a privacy request. These rights are subject to applicable exceptions and verification requirements. To submit a request, email support@metisine.com. You may use an authorized agent where applicable law allows. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

Metisine Health does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may still submit an opt-out request, including through a recognized GPC signal. We will apply the request as required by applicable law.

Our site and services are intended for adults and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.

We operate in the United States, and your information will be processed there. If you access our services from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in a country with different data-protection laws, with appropriate safeguards where required.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and material changes will be communicated where appropriate. Your continued use of the site means you accept the updated policy.
